Well, the corn has taken a turn for the worst, but I totally think it's my own fault - perhaps a little over watering on my part. Other than that, the veggies look healthy, and they are screaming for their time in the sun - they want outside!!!
As far as outside goes, my husband and I started putting the raised garden together this weekend. We hauled in 3 yards of compost, but we still need so much more! Looks like next weekend will be another round of trips to the nursery for more dirt. But things are progressing, and I can't wait to get in the garden and plant my seeds and seedlings. They will be so happy in the new garden.
FYI - I did buy more lettuce seeds this weekend. I hope to get them planted before next weekend. I still have some lettuce alive from February's planting, but they are not looking good. The next round of lettuce might have to be sown directly in the garden.
On a fruitier note - we bought and planted several fruit trees: 1 peach, 1 pear (3-way for cross pollination), 1 plum (3-way for cross pollination), 1 Bing Cherry, and 1 Rainier cherry. FYI - cherries won't produce unless you have two tress for cross pollination. We also bought 2 black raspberries and 2 red raspberries.
I can't wait to post some pictures of our new garden - I will try and do that this week.
I love garden fever!!!
